@almighty_gir Well I originally wanted to stick with illustration/concept art but a lot of people (lecturers/tutors) are saying that it's super hard to get a job into so I decided to expand I guess to something else that I would enjoy doing. And maybe intertwine them like Marc Brunet does but it was just another skill I…
I will say, before I got into 3D and games, I sucked at any sort of 2D illustration. Finding 3D was awesome, though now I am pretty hindered when people ask for "quick concepts" of what I have in my head... but I make up for that by speeding up my 3D workflow so I can iterate faster and blockout ideas in nearly the same…
Thanks Avanthera for the critique! I appreciate how in depth you've gone :) Her design is super boring at the moment but that's what I plan to explore in this project. I've gotten down the basic idea of her, now I'm gonna do some design pages for her various, like her hair, hat, apron etc. and add those various magical…
Going for realism or stylized? Right now i would say this is passable for a stylized asset, but there is one main thing ruining it, and that's the way you placed the leaves on top. This illustration should give you an idea of what i mean As you can see on your own model, you almost placed the planes facing down at the…
You make it sound like Mission Impossible, I simply find $120,000 straight out of college hard to believe for any middle class American. Life has lead me to believe that if its to good to be true, it is. I'm sure you have 0.05% of the American population that manage to get that well paying job, launched into those…
Kudo's to jouste for passing this link along. A fella over @ Conceptart.org has put together this healthy list of free e-art books (...) Bridgman, George B., 1939. The Human Machine. http://www.archive.org/details/humanmachinethea009564mbp Bridgman, George B., 1920. Constructive anatomy…
I see. I can't really think of any universal solution.. Especially with different projects clients workflows etc.. (or like neural network solutions?) Very interested in this very topic tho. good luck! This panel from Illustrator could be a good friend.. All these blueprints would be made in sketchup tho ? Do they come…
I have to agree with bounchfx. As a modeler i find all the illustration work a bit "meh" because thats not my field and it gives really no purpose to the actual item other then bringing votes, so i could rather spend that time on something else. maybe, but they have to spot the item first to make a decision and the first…
I might put Alan moore as maybe the greatest writer if any of his comics were my all time favorites . In that case I would have to say Katsuhiro Otomo who wrote and illustrated Akira to be the best ever , or Sam Kieth's The Maxx , or Kingdom come by Mark Waide. Though I did like The Watchman a lot .
Hey guys. Still plugging away at these. Working on tying all three illustrations together as one cohesive environment. The idea is that you start out at a fairly stable central station (seen in above post), and hop the tram that rides the rails to head into gradually more dilapidated arenas. Better power-ups (and flags,…
