Damn those are some high quality props. I don't have much to say right now but at least I'm subb'd to this right now. I feel like I'm never in digital sketchbooks but your thread looks nice! Anyways, GL!
If wow is so addictive why are they marketing Cataclysm as "the expansion that will bring you back to WoW." Most of the reviews previews marketing hype I've seen has been billed as such. If was digital crack how are so many people able to escape its grasp?
That article is about digital effects and animation which are more to do with film and television. Those are still getting tax breaks. Game studios are probably getting tax breaks, but they have been reduced last I heard. I could be wrong though
I'd say it is very doable, especially if you already have knowledge of general modeling and texturing principals. Digital Tutors has a solid "Introduction to 3DS Max" course, and also ones specifically for modeling, texturing, etc. that should familiarize you with the software.
Probably best to post your work in the Pimping and Previews or Digital Sketchbooks sections instead of General Discussions. Probably get more feedback from those two sections. Anyways you have some great looking models! Are these models comped in Photoshop?

Bullet time. Experimenting with the painting, baking pipeline before jumping to the low poly of the gun, speaking of witch, i have beveled that edge Digital Cantina but no looking before it`s done. The mags still need some tweaks and the strap is still missing.
...Neither does any of these guy. They are selfpublished, all of them, hence they are indie. SMB Fez Braid And no, sharing publishing rights with MS for access to the XBLA distribution platform is not the same as having a publisher, if it were: No game on any type of digital distribution platform is indie.
I did both 512 and 1024 and was still at a very low poly count. Base count for the cube would be 8 anyway, and maybe the size makes it so it doesn't reach into the 6 digits. I tried scaling up and down with similar results.
That's what I've heard too so I'm trying to look for more "international" companies! Like I've mentionned above polygon pictures and Digital frontier seem to be more on the the relaxed side of things but I just want to get as many options as possible.
