As a host/judge, if you do start the 3d portion early and we know about it, you will be disqualified. If you decide to start the 2d concept, make a 2d entry as that is the only valid way to actually start a concept you plan on using for the 3d portion. sweet! so do you just do a smart unwrap for everything and then just start painting ontop? also i found it a bit difficult to see exactly where i'm painting when the scene has no lights and you get that vertex lit style. i was debating going into photoshop and making the uv's a separate layer so i can see where the breaks… -

most important critique i could think of, is you need to get better at faces. most of them has the same disproprtionate almost cartoony sizes to eyes, nose and mouth. i recommend focusing on that, both in 2d and sculpting, for a while and do a bunch of studies. your props, for example the weapons to jinx has a much higher… -

As for me, if it reads from a distance the way it is suppose to be seen and understood then that is when I know it is time to move on.
