This is looking great. Try color grading the scene to define the mood better. The wet mark on the floor looks more like a fresh spraypaint rather than a puddle

Looks interesting, you guys should do a live demo of how this works instead of just an animated cartoon. Would definately help answer alot of these questions! :)
maromeset could add support for cubemap proxies? Those are artist defined boxes that can be scaled individually on their axis, and would serve as fallback to the screen-space reflection.
