I'm sad because I have the flu and have missed a full week of work which is going to make it hectic when I get back. Also I feel like shit and haven't had the dexterity to take a shower in 7 full days.
housing crash in london? that might take a while, man. anyway have some freelance fun! did it for a few years myself as well and enjoyed it for some time. being married to work 24/7 did wear me a little thin in the end tho.
I used the 3D Buzz intro to max tutorials, not sure if they've changed or updated them since I watched them 7 years ago. Don't feel bad, Blender seems pretty hard to figure out coming from the other direction!
[ QUOTE ] HOWever, Blender can only push a very small amount of polygons compared to mudbox and zbrush, so it makes it hard to use it for what it is there for. [/ QUOTE ] In Windows that is. I've heard people achieve 4-7 M polygons when running Blender on Linux.
I really feel like they overscoped unfortunately. I think originally they were shooting for 6-7 minutes, and a lot of the stuff they added to get it to 11ish minutes was really unnecessary. those resources could have been used to polish and tighten everything up.
Last one from me. 14£ for 2000 Virtual console points. N64 games = 1000 = 7£ SNES games = 800 = 5.60£ NES games = 500 = 3.50£ Cheaper to buy carts(inc postage) off ebay for most SNES/N64 games.
Junkie_XL: there's no way to right click and save an image from your site. The load times are annoying, yes they are short but it still took 7 seconds longer than my portfolio (no I won't link it, it's full of old crap but it did get me a job)
Here's a bit of surprise ... DOOM is apparently this weekend's leading money earner for films at $15 Million USD. Of course it's also earning about $5 to $7 million LESS dollars than hoped for. It's a bad weekend for motion picture box offices all around.
Does it render with the scanline renderer properly? You know, Bitmap inside a Normal Bump map inside a Standard material... If it still looks wrong, it's probably that Max 7 doesn't use the tangent basis properly. Better bet is to export to Xnormal, bake and render there.
No, the twist works in conjunction with the main one as far as I know. We use version one in GTA and it works (1 foretwist), though most of our twist bones are scripted normal max bones (since we started off on Max version 7).
