Regarding the whole opinion thing ive been trying to work stuff out about what is "good" - i'm all for tastes, i mean... it applys to food but whether or not you "like" something doesnt mean that the food itself is bad for you or not healthy. Bad analogy for it, but still, I think that there are things in games that make…
Hi guys! I found this awesome forum thanks to the Conor's video. Impressive work, man! Let me introduce myself, I'm Marco, I'm 26 and I'm a musician and an actor, I'm studying at the national italian tv (RAI). I did some shortmetrages but I'm not giving you the links (I don't want to spam!). I'm trying to realize a…
hi .. i registered just to post this message (as the first ;) ) ... this looks totally aweome .. but imho it does not reflect faithfully the ss2 athmospere .. looks like other game as i said in your youtube "shodan revealed" video ... seems too much "mechanical" or "transformer" coming from physical world than "virtual" or…
Amazing piece! But I can understand that some people see more similarities to Kat than to MF (guess its the facial structure but personal style I guess ^^ ). Although the hair tweaks really did a lot to make her more MF-ish. I love your artstyle (jeez I adore your painting technique), the pose and the whole scenery you put…
Blue shadows come from ambient light bounced by the sky. Might look odd in this interior but give it a try. Odd example but it shows somewhat the hue-shift for shading. Notice the brown walls shadow color shifts toward purple. http://zs.ffshrine.org/album/link-to-the-past/screens/14.gif Half decent trick for cheap cop-out…
Game art is a commodity, you get paid to make stuff for someone else. Lots of restrictions. It’s a craft. Make art for you, on your own time. Carry a sketchbook, keep making the art you really like, for yourself. No restrictions! It’s art. Bah-dum, tish!
over all it looks good.few things that bother me are material definition(as mentioned above) and bevel/chamfer width. if you were going for photo-realism then the chamfers are way too wide. this is a common mistake i have seen on many of your work. this over chamfering worked ok with brink guns because of their style but…
To update- the bottom right design won, so I took the time to finish that sculpt up :) I've decided to start adding the lore behind these beasts, in case people don't feel like looking it up :) The bakunawa is from Philippine mythology, a sea serpent believed to be the cause of eclipses. I followed the description giving…
Just to clear the air. I am not for killing Bambi, Peter Rabbit, Bugs Bunny, Pete the Prairie Dog, or Wylee Coyote. If you do it for meat no problem. I have never been able to kill animals with a gun. I killed a few sparrows when I was about 10 and felt so guilty I never did it again. I just like to target practice about…
@Noren @iam717 thank you both for the feedback, it's helped a lot! I've made a little bit more progress on the blockout with adjustments based on your comments as well as some extra things I picked up on thanks to them :) Attaching the old version here for direct comparison: Scale blindness is something I'm still…
