Kurodius: Just use the p3d.in links I posted, there you can see the wireframe model. And here are some marmoset renders of the STG 44, hopefully I will do the SVD over the weekend. Any comment is much appreciated.
Well, I suggested a couple shots. It's better IMO to filter it for people. Post a couple of the best ones, with a link to see more shots. It would also be cool to share wireframes, lighting setups, etc., making-of kind of things.
Nope. EDIT: I think I may have just figured it out. There was a face covering the whole 1-0 space behind my UV's... can't believe I missed that. Tricky to see when looking at wireframes :(
Some progress, especially with the cockpit. All i can think off now is making the pilot chair and the lowpoly model should be complete :) Oh and the windows :D Will update when model is done with some wireframe views aswell :)
With such shapes, sometimes I put some cylinders in my modeling package with a right amount of division on the cap of it, and render out some wireframes, or I bake. Maybe faster , because you don't have to manually paint the lines.
If this is your only problem with keyshot, you could just render out a UV template in 3dsMax and apply it as a texture, you'll have your wireframe then. Unless you want it to be see-through which isn't very readable anyways.
Sorry about that, I'll post the subd's and other pics with a wireframe tomorrow or tonight if I can help it. Glad to see all the feedback though! Thanks everyone :) (I'll re-edit the original post with the different bits of progression)
So.. I made an attempt at making a template I'll be using for my future renders, including information about me, and the model. Here's an example: What do you think? I haven't gotten the wireframe going yet.
Hey andrew, few things. Post a basic marmoset or engine render without the fancy background. Post a wireframe, your texture sheets and the original concept so people can see how close you got to it. Kiser
@Alemja Great advice, thank you :) I tried to add some more wear and tear to the textures. I hope it reads better now. Here are some final render shots and wireframes. Critiques and feedback always welcome!
