thanks guys, I wasn't really thinking of miyazaki when I made them, but I totally see it now. Rooster: errr, no specific story that I was thinking of. Just a general idea of Santa presenting this orb to these ghost creatures
Has anyone purchased http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/534/Gears-of-War-Creature-Design ? Gears of war really appeals to me and epic games too. I'm really interested in their proffesional workflow. It's also not that exspencive £30 or so.
Pokemon isn't a pet simulation, it's an RPG with a rather unusual method of getting party members and a bad storyline. Pet simulations would be Tamagochi or Catz/Dogz or if you count it Creatures. If you don't like Kirby, is Meteos a game for you?
looks great! only crit would be that the tail seems as if it is just glued on, and not part of the character look up some anatomy reference of dogs/cats/mice/monkeys/any creature with a spine and tail. hope it helps! awesome first post!
I'm not familiar with the lore in Warframe, I played it a while ago, and LOVED the look of it. So if I were to guess, It looks like everything in the game is made from SEA CREATURES! :P Loving the art dump! thank you for the share.
I get it. I want to use or at least i want to learn how to use this map, for characters and creatures. So is the same process as creating normal maps, but instead. i need more polycount on the low poly mesh to work?
We're giving away a whole handful of models. Some are character busts, some are creatures. All are watertight, and easily edited base geometry. Released under a flexible CC license, so go nuts. http://www.shinbonecreative.com/free-stuff/
Not even gonna lie when I saw this I thought Helmut Stark was the name of the creature and assumed it was a penis reference... I don't know if english is your first language but "Purple Helmet" is a somewhat old euphemism for the head of the penis.
I have sent a Email to one of his "best friends and a huge source of inspiration" according to this article http://www.3dtotal.com/interview/247-interview-with-digital-horror-sculptor-fabrizio-bortolussi-by-3dtotal-staff-zbrush-sculpt-creature
Ehhh I don't see why volumetric rendering would have to be a faked effect in that shot. I remember seeing the Sony Pre e3 press confrence and they had that real-time on these creatures with Big Hands it was pretty damn cool ...
