Hello- I am currently a student taking a 3DS Max class; we have made a few small, simple assets. This is the first larger, more high-poly model from class. Obviously I have to fix the thickness XD Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks all!
Hey guys, I've been working on a monster character that I was given for a student project. This is the reference sheet and what I have so far. This was created by using both Autodesk Maya and Mudbox. If there is anything to improve on or to watch out for, please offer your critiques so I can learn and improve.
Hey everyone, it's about time I made one these threads, I'm a second year student at the university of Hertfordshire, I'm looking for crit of course :) I'm creating this piece of Deus Ex Human Revolution concept art in Maya at the moment, for use in UDK; Here's an ambient occlusion render of it currently; Thanks !
Hi, I'm a third year classical animation student and I'm learning modeling and texturing on my own. I have a passion for games and 3D sculpting/modeling and would love to be an environmental artist someday. Please feel free to critique, comment, or anything to help me become a better 3D artist.
I should get into the habit of posting progress shots for critique! Basic info: - College student, so most of the things posted will probably be assignments, unless marked otherwise. - I'll try to keep things sequential. - Will list what programs I'm using. - ALWAYS open to suggestions and critique! ^-^ Thanks for stopping…
https://80.lv/articles/the-strings-of-environment-design/ On concept art the use of Zbrush is becoming more common. Feng Zhu tells student to learn it in there second term. If you look at Vitaly Bulgarov maybe concept art is going in that direction.
Alright. As a fresh out of university student, I have not had the opportunity to really count all my costs and income. This is definitely going to be hard as I calculate all the overhead the programs I use to make 3D art cost me.
Ok, the site is now filled out with what I believe to be my best work. I also went through and organized my blog a bit more. Took out the turds, too. Almost 100% free of student work! :D
Ideally I would prefer to keep those seperate, but as a student with one solid desktop PC I don't have much of a choice but to use it for everything, haha. (I mean, 5 y/o macbook on the side, but can't game on that man).
Thanks for the feedback, I will certainly take that on board. To be honest, I was considering adding further to it once the assignment has been submitted so I will look at dents/bullet holes etc. And I am a first year student at Staffordshire University.
