Such good work. Thanks for taking the time to post, especially with the mesh wireframe. Only comment I have is that the small triangle details on the grip are reading a bit weird, like obvious normal map stuff. But small quibbles.
Thats great! You didnt render with sub-surface scattering did you? It's just the way it's colored with some soft lighting? How come the wireframe is triangulated? Do people actually use 56k modems still?
yes! I finally figured out UV sets, that is the most awesome thing for videogames texturing. It really downsizes texturefile space. Anyway here is my curent project, please feel free to critique renderrough wireframe
show some screenshots with lightning that would look close to ingame please, GI renders like that usually mean wasted minutes to show something even a wireframe would show better. Keep it up and good luck !
without the wireframe or texture flat, its hard to give critiques on anything but the design, which can't be touched. i think the scratches on it are throwing off the scale... they're not huge scrapes, just tiny scratches scaled up.
It might not cost too many polys at all - but I dont know cos you haven't posted a wireframe. I'll bet you that I can show you how by adding no polies and by adding about 50.
hey I think it's lookin pretty good man. I'd be interested in seeing the back wireframe though. 512 might be a little bit large for the res model, but I don't think it's excessive. Post the texture flat =)
looks real simple, real clean, real nice. only thing i can think is to seperate the images into sections (personal preference). i really like the epic test, mind if i could see the wireframe on that.
Is there a way to turn off the background image/skycube thing in the Static Mesh Editor? I miss the old grey background, and it's hard to see my meshes with the polys of the skycube drawing when in wireframe mode. Thanks
Hello! This is my shirt design, I kept it rather simple. I used a 3D wireframe and a halftone pattern as my inspiration for the front graphic. The design only uses 2 colors: green and white. I hope you like it!
