The idea is: A plane, the texture applied, sectioned off I guess to that corner in the image and I want it to emit or have particles on it around it or project… -

Nice work. The thing that stood out to me the most is the rock asset. It doesn't come off as very believable, I don't know of any rock that looks like that. You can very clearly see that it's a bunch of the same shaped mesh duplicated and clustered together. Maybe take a look at some real jaggedy rock references and base… -

that is a red flag! they may be trying to land funding for their project by showing off your work. most likely they will never contact you again after they get their funding. i have had this happen to me few time where a company showed off my work(with promise of work if project got greenlit) to potential investors to land… -

This is so much a problem with your texture or the UDK as much as a general limitation with 3D graphics in general. What you're seeing a trade-off between performance and visual fidelity. You could just turn off mip maps entirely in the mip-map settings. That will stop this from happening (probably) but also hugely…
