Unwrapped most of the walls and beams, next up are the windows / clock and other small stuff :) Trying out a red roof as well. And a blockout texture for the Blocks planted everywhere on the model;
I think its a good start, keep it up, i would agreee with silver_hoodlum, also the top of the roof is flat, and it should be curved a bit :) looking forward to seeing the more!
tileable beam for the roof and other areas, I feel like I rushed the texture because this will be hardly noticable with the lighting I will use. more updates to come later today.
I did, and it was amazing. I decided from the beginning to play it like the Terminator; punching my way through walls, breaking sculls, soaking bullets, and leaping from roofs.
Try destroying the roof on that box, reiro. I'm pretty sure domDirectLights cut themselves off regardless of their position to objects blocking it's path. Are you sure this level is using Lightmass?
Looks awsome, just out of curosity how are you going to go about texturing this? It looks like there is a lot of unique detail everywhere, are you going to bake in the roof tiles?
The verts along the top of the clock face, just under the roof line could be pushed to the corners. Also the hindges look a little dense, are they 4-5-6 sided cylinders?
Hey polycount, I've decided to do another environment, this time based on Vladimir Manyukhin Healer's house concept art; https://www.artstation.com/artwork/68oDvV I thought I would try UE5 because I only just started on this project in UE4 when UE5 was released into early access, so I just converted my current project into…
Did some extra work on the example project for my students. It's been a pain going back to UE4. Anyway I added the roof, expanded some of the side streets to fill up the view, added some more decals as I'm doing a lecture on them on Friday.
