Hey Cay thanks for the feedback! There's a bit of sharpening and grain coming from the post in Marmoset. Also the grenade looks way more "dry" with other lights and in 3do.. I kinda liked this wetness though. It looks a bit more rough and sexy :shifty:
Sry for the lack of updates. I've been working on him hapazardly, so not that much progress. I'm not happy with the hair on the back of his head yet, so that still needs work. I already started retopologizing and I'm going to work further from there.
I know it's probably too close to the deadline for me to post for the CNY, here is some more concepts for Naga Siren!! Though now that I think about it, the headdress would probably be cool as a single item for the event Completely forgot about this one.
Great start so far! I agree that the materials do seem to come across more plastic like the mud. Right now your materials are in that odd place between "Wet looking" and dry. I'd recommend pushing it further in either direction.
@SeveredSon: Thanks very much, keeps me goin! Here's a little progress breakdown of the head asset. Edge dirt was very handy in painter for masking the gold paint material alpha onto the high relief stuff, bit like dry brushing.
I'm on the fence with this one, I love what Steppenwolf has done. But I see Adam's point, it's almost impossible for it to be that clean, unless they had just washed and polished the floors and said my mum's line, "DON'T STEP ON THE FLOOR UNTIL IT'S DRY :@".
these are the images that iw as going off of (sry it took me a while to respond been recovering after a bday party, ugh it was chaotic finally turned the the big 19) but thanks for all the replies i will see what i can do to make changes to it
Yea in covina here ack! - just felt an aftershock i think sry- called my wife, she was fine, had a smoke and back to work i guess. Man its been a while since an earthquake has shaken me up.
Holy shit, apparently everyone has a wide screen monitor except for me. I'm still using a single CRT at home, Striff even has a wide screen painting hanging on his wall, how do you guys afford this razamataz?
ok, so I asked, he said he just opened it and used an air duster and a little towel to remove all the dust and it worked, his stayed in a dry place for a year and a half, like yours, so maybe that will work for you too ?
