Hello there! Here is a personal project I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. It's a Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW (Personal Defense Weapon). Like my previous project (Franchi S.P.A.S. 12) this is also a well known weapon both in film and videogames, but this time around its also a very known and proven real life…
The idea is to make the weapon look like it is using neon to power itself. The magazine is like a power source filled with neon. Some parts expose the glow of the neon inside. Sketches Here re some sketches of my MP9 - Neon Fuel Mil-Spec Grade weapon finish. First person view: Inspiration Feedback Below are some variants…
EDIT: Current progress Hello everyone! I'm working on a Viking skin for Jinx. I haven't sketched up any compositions for the illustration yet, but here are some of my sketches for the skin and weapon designs. Don't mind her pose, it's not going to be the final, just a temp open pose to put clothes and armor on. Let me know…
The bigger the studio the more specialized people are. The Glock and foliage on your artstation are pretty nice, you might get a job with these assets depending on where you live and what studios you contact, for the bigger ones you will need more quality assets like the Glock you made. Don't improve your skills blindly…
i wasn't saying the drawing was inaccurate... my point was that it is A drawing of the full view of an existing weapon from one angle at 720 x 315... that is a highly limited amount of information to be modeling something off of and not what i would consider reference, maybe a piece of reference, but not the reference...…
Oh good work!! In general the design looks fine. The grip looks boring. It looks flat and uncomfortable (usually weapon grips have a soft cover like wood or some kind of synthetic material). The renders could have some more work as well. Especially the lighting. It looks too dark and I can´t see details of the…
Hi everyone, Long time without posting, but here I come with my retopo and some more prop modeling (I decided to go for an accordion on his back). Right now I am slightly above 12k tris, but still missing the weapon. I'll try to optimize a bit the polycount, model the weapon and do the UVs to paint it (can´t wait!). Still…
lesson no.1 , never post gun wip thread else gun geeks will eat you. Guy Brightside is eventually right, but if you fix that rail width and gas block, you will be totally okay. Ever notice how weapons look different many games even if it's the "same" model? In my opinion it's okay, if you make weapons different on some…
Hey, for a beginner, this is actually pretty good! I think you're on the right track. One thing I really do have to note though, the unwrapping on the low poly weapons could be better. You're losing a lot of texture space by not really puzzling the pieces together for a good, optimal fit. Especially on the second weapon,…
There are 2 hidden weapons in the demo.... For those not convinced of the fighting after playing the demo, you probably played it wrong. Here's a what a good fight looks like after a bit of practice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV-ANQvMkXg Impressive huh? The game's core mechanic is to dodge at the right time…
