I'm trying to export my high poly model from zbrush that I assigned colors to my subtools so I can bake out a color ID map from Toolbag 3. I would reset the scale and transform (hierarchy tab reset scale/transform) before Reset Xform. Reset xform does a few undesirable things in addition to doing the two things you need, reset scale, reset transform.
