      Off the top of my head; Make the body mesh 'Live', draw a path for the belt with an EP curve, and close it. Draw a profile curve to describe the cross section of the belt, then extrude it along the first path.

      the current starburst pattern draws attention to his crotch, I'd pull it up a bit so it draws attention up towards the face, as it's pulling my eye towards uninteresting parts of the model. imo

      So i did a quick sketch and put a little more time on the other drawing. I found some badass pictures of female soldiers so I decided to draw them.

      It may be worth while if you do some anatomy studies and life drawing lessons, they can really help you to stop drawing what you think is there, and what is actually there. Goodluck.
