Concept/Overview While I was trying to find inspiration for my next scene, I became fascinated by the works of Chong Fei Giap. They held so much life and color, and the feel of the textures and colors was fantastic. I wanted to see if I could recreate that look in 3D. Modeling From the beginning, I knew I wanted to create…
Looks awesome! Wish the movie had looked like this, or you know, didn't exist. But this would be cool also, keep going! As for crits, Soka looks great but Aang looks a little too grown up.
I usually work in a blinn for something like this because it allows you to turn on smoothing and see where your edges are too hard or too soft and really get a feel for how accurately you are creating it.
You have a solid bake, good work! You should focus on getting more varied material definition. Right now, it all looks like soft touch plastic. Looking forward to seeing more!
@silvarspark Ah thanks for the suggestion! :D I'll see what I can do for her eyes , as for the sharp lighting I think I'll let it* stay soft so that it calms the eyes of the viewers :3
Thanks! Rock and mud were made in ZBrush, I use the same process for all textures. I have a depth map set in the blend material, but maybe it's too soft, i'll work on this, and more foliage.
The head and body still look a little soft, although the general proportions look okay. It's hard to tell without any straight-on or profile shots. Also, the neck isn't flowing into the head and the jaw very well.
AMD FX 8350 -> ?? Do you have a PC or a laptop? Any integrated graphic card? (force to turn it off). Do you have problems only in this soft? How Fps looks like in the games?
