Hi, I'm a Digital Arts and Entertainment student and I just finished my workshop week on creating hand painted textures. For this assignement we had to make a 256x256 texture. I made the other props earlier this week. [IMG][/img]
Update on this baby. Slow on the updates had a fellow student lined up to do a rig for her, but that person got a job. So had to do it myself! Turns out I'm not the quickest at it hahaha. This isn't finished, still looking for C&C
Dustin, I actually have a friend who said he can't get into Radiolab because of their sound design, especially with their opening. It was kind of humorous. And he's a medical student, so you'd think he's predisposed to some degree to appreciate the show.
Hello there! Been following this thread for a long time now and it just occurred to me that I have worked on some rocks of my own. These were for a stylized student project. Zbrush Sculpt: Marmoset Render: In engine: https://www.artstation.com/artist/gubble
Here's how i'm approaching it: Do i want to work for a company that approaches game design like you would a car? If i wanted to work in a mind numbing factory i wouldn't have all these student loans piled up.
is he offering the student version like he did at GDC on the site? I got a copy from my friend who didnt use it and he payed like 60 or 100 I forgot the exact price, but he payed cheap!
- Drop the 12 private students I acquired over 2010 (goal was 20 or so). - Stop teaching English (sucks but I have to move on). - Get paid more. - Keep getting better at Japanese. - Stay freelance in my mountain town.
Hmm I don't know what to think. A new school trying to get students? Or a professional program meant for professionals looking to enhance their skillset? If the former, bleh. If the later. Excellent. Might be interested if get another person ($20 for 2) Anyone?
I saw this on Friday after a few beers. I dozed off twice. Visuals were interesting. The story was a little out there for me. The best summary of this movie I heard was that it's a student film with a $20 mill budget. Which is pretty on point.
MoP you're always courteous and straightforward. It's appreciated. Things I like about this forum... seems there's a lot less noise than most others, a lot more industry veterans & serious hobbyists/students, and generally there are more interesting topics here.
