Blocking out the major texture features like the lines and decals. I'm largely working off the new Recognizer as reference. Still have to add some texture detail, specular map, and various effects.
The bar scene is almost all the same tone, a darker or lighter floor might help it all pop a little better, throwing a few decals around the scene would make it more interesting too.
That's what I was thinking. I think if that one WAS chosen, then maybe add a challenge to it by asking participants to find other ways to tell a story. Signage, decals, whatever. Without the people, it will definitely need something.

Textured the frames and the trash can. I think the scene is looking good but it is too clean. So I will now start adding some decals and do some vertex painting. Then will start working on lighting.
I made some changes to the model after some feedback from Polygoblin... Besides the obvious ones, there is a bit more floating geo for detais, also the magazine is kinda finished, but not in the shown images below :)

This one here is an assignment for my texturing class, no stock images or pictures, we had to model a door and paint it with Photoshop. I used After Effects to create the fire and added it as a decal. Realtime snapshot.
Hi @gfelton, thank you for the comment. I've added burned areas around capsule with help of decals and it indeed make scene more clear that the capsule actually fell from sky and crashed into this ravine.
