I have had pretty good success using the multi res modifier in max, but need to do a bit of manual cleaning up on top of that to make the topology look 'pretty'. Are there any any better methods. out there

I've got this object in 3D Coat and it renders thusly there: and wires: but when I bring it into Toolbag (with all maps) it doesn't smooth correctly. There are serious smoothing artifacts. Is there a way to set the smoothing angle in Toolbag or is there some other way I can fix this? TIA.
I was thinking that it would be cool to create an armor set for a new job in Bravely Default. Problem is, I have no idea what their poly limit is. Any thoughts?
Update! -Added an exterior door wall. -Added a walkway. -Replaced the window opening model with a new one. I also had a question about the back faces of wall models.
