Okeedokee. I'm at 1932 tri's including the spear and accessories. Aaaand I believe I'm just about ready to start UV mapping. Crits on the model very much welcome before I take this to texture!
as advised I have re-done this model, going for a different style (1930's) and a high poly version this time. I would like to thank StJoris for finding the refs for me, you did a grand job cheers! chris
I have. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/L2285r Did you see the updated version of this forum? https://polycount.com/discussion/202342/southern-pacifics-coast-daylight-1937-gs-3-4-8-4#latest
DeferredLightingCommon.usf line 103 //float3 Diffuse = Diffuse_Lambert( GBuffer.DiffuseColor ); float3 Diffuse = Diffuse_Burley( GBuffer.DiffuseColor, LobeRoughness[1], NoV, NoL, VoH ); uncomment 103 and comment out 104. Then in the console "recompilescripts changed" Im not sure if this will work as I don't have the ue4…
I made a quick old-photo-look image with my fictional 1930's GP car. Pretty much done with this one and I might start a thread at some point. Rendered in Quixel 3DO, edited in Photoshop.
well, the issue is she behaved like a 1930's parody of a black person. I hope I didn't miss anything important by skipping here, I basically talked to her once, went "holllyyyy shiiiiiit!" and never talked to her again.
Hello :) I couldn't finish this one as soon as i wanted because my video card died (RIP). This is another version of the Bouncing Betty, called SMi-35 ub ("35" stands for the year it was first produced, 1935) C&C welcome!
I'm a fan of racing planes like Granville Gee Bee R2, and looks of the F4 Corsair. 1930's had a lot of great planes. Ended up modelling my own http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caudron_C.460 some years back. (picture of side, found on internet)
For me eyeballing everything have always been an only way. Because it's totally depends on your renderer and default tone mapping , auto-exposure and AO. For example anything brighter than 190 is completely blown away in our engine . In Unreal it would be probably grayish and we use same style of PBR as our programmers…
Looking really good, I love your statue. I'm assuming new galtia is a reference to john golt from atlas shrugged? As the cover is your avatar. In which case I love the 1930s, mechanical and clean lines but not so sure about art deco elements :)
