In my experience it is very rare to get orthographic concepts, you almost always have to model from a single perspective shot. Once you get used to it, it isn't difficult to extrapolate from a single perspective shot. Just block in your shapes, pick good reference points and make sure they look right when compared to the…
here are some of my pieces, the second one is copied from a magic the gathering card and the first and last one is recent drawings, the other two drawings is about a year old. as you see i am quite lazy with some details and so on but right now i am focusing on trying to learn the line art parts more. since i cant grasp at…
On with the shield and illustration for her! Shield is gunna be revised but i've got a good idea as to how to make it fit with her as a character (somewhat) although i could probably do with making it more manmade rather than taking it down the likely magical route. dunno whether or not she looks too bottom heavy in the…
I think the combat looks pretty fun, I don't know what you guys are talking about. Honestly I'd prefer a slower paced combat lately after playing a bunch of ADD riddled games. All I picture when I see this engine is a top down Dark Souls, if you've ever played it I'm sure you can see what I mean. Just because there's not a…
Renewable and environmentally clean manufacturing or energy production. Whatever company that develops the Coup de grace for fossil fuels will be rich beyond what several generations could spend. The likelihood of that happening is increasing with each ?day?(year) and we should as predicted be in the largest energy…
guys, just found this old thread while searching for the same solution and remembered the very old software called magic picker. I used it many years ago and it was great. the long story short they have the RYB color wheel now (new version) and they also have a new panel for color mixing in RYB mode - mix colors. and it's…
So at work we make money doing this, I have found with the right tools we don't even have to bake the cards. i also found with baking i like to do short intervals like 5 minutes at under 375F, ifn eed bake it more i have revived 1 dead laptop and 2 gfx cards at home and at work we pretty much got 750 dollars worth of…
that's the thing, handpaint isn't about technique or remembering stuff. There's 10 million way of doing rock. It's just like you were learning real paint, you don't copy someone else work, you do your own, you experiment with color and texture and light until it give something. Everyone i know that learn handpaint from…
You need to click "Reset UVW's" when you switch UV channels. It's a crazy feature but UV1 always carries over to UV2 unless you reset, then it magically appears. This will reset the UV's in that channel to whatever the last "baked layout was" it bakes the UV's into the mesh when you collapse so before switching channels…
This is really great. Honestly the only critique I have echos Tobbo in that I hope you'll post some more images directly in the thread so you get some more eyes on it. You've lit the scene very well through that marmoset viewer, though. Did you start with a high poly on this? It looks as if you could have potentially faked…
