Hey, I've created my own brushes and added some from other artists and it loads fine and runs fine on ZBrush 4r7 P3 WIN 7. Sorry can't be more of a help, it sounds like it's something at your end.
This week's brief is 'Memory & Nostalgia'. For me I get very nostalgic over Final Fantasy 7, so I chose to start building the observatory from Cosmo Canyon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07oO6A3qzO0&feature=youtu.be
Watch from 12:00 and you'll get an idea (esp at 12:30). [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5oQnOfM7Jo"]HEXTOR : 3D COAT HARD SURFACE SPEED SCULPTING - BLENDER / FORMZ 7 SPEEDMODELING - YouTube[/ame]
I have a Samsung Series 7 Slate, best purchase ever, using with Art Dock perfect for noodling on the couch or in bed. Zbrush and PS work excellent, Max or Maya though takes a bit to get used to but works fine.
The amount of money some individuals are apparently throwing into that pot is fucking obscene. 7 $5000 backers? 30+ $1000 backers? The rewards are largely non-tangible too! 1/3rd million in 3 hours with only 1800 backers 0_o
I've rendered out the normal maps for the whole model with Max 7's standard "render to texture" feature. I tried Kaldera but I liked the results less. I'll post it later when I get home again.
I had to use UE3 editor because back then I didn't have a powerful enough computer. And it wasn't mine. But now i'm flyin with a 8gig 64bit windows 7 beast. So UDK is loaded up and ready to go!
more little paints... 7 inches or so on a side at the largest. Finally upgraded to canvases... on my second one now. I'll post some next week or something when I think I have one worth showing.

$199.99 for virus removal. Snagging a copy of their tools is much cheaper. They're supposedly set up to be completely automatic, and run from the windows PE, with net access to download the latest updates. something like 7 or 8 removal tools.
