alright, i tried what u just suggjested and i think it turned out quite well, i used a soft blue brush for highlights and a dark purple for shadows -

Your damage looks very soft and almost clay like, stone doesn't really chip that way, if you added in some shaper detail this stuff would look great. -

Uh, why do you want to average the normals of a highpoly sculpt? Surely you just want to set it all to Soft Edges? Average Normals is a completely different tool. -

nice model, great style, good texture, but colour palette is too fairy for me ^^ and i like that soft edges, like old, rusty plates, good feeling for me -

I tried it out and liked what I saw before the free trial ended. The soft selection tools were much better than the sculpt / paint tools in Maya. -

Didn't nail the expression/head angle (tough to get down in 3D.) Should have used more hair card variants IE soft edge hairs and solid clumps. Still a neat attempt. -

Agreed about the wear and tear, to many hard chips and not enough soft wear, will fix that, thanks! And yea, the grip material needs more love. Thanks, story-based wear and tear is in the next pass! -
