Begginer Character WIP
Hey forum. I started this character sketch last week and started adding some more detail to it. I started with a Lick King idea in mind but Im not so sure now. I intend for this to be the first model I completely finish and render. Please let me know your comments and critiques. Thanks guys! -
Shading Issues both on Preview and Render ?
So yeah, Im using max, I'm fairly new to it. I just tackled Normal Maps and I'm having an issue. IDK if this is normal (no pun intended) but let me show you Render Viewport and the normal map itself idk whats causing this issue. Please help me :( thanks in advance :) -

So, the solution for this particular error appears to be to never use single-sided geometry for static objects. Replaced my blockers with a standard cube, marked 'shadows only' and everything appears to have baked as intended. Lesson learned. Thanks to everybody who made suggestions. -

I like pre-viz, it really feels like "in the belly of the beast". Do you intend to sub-d parts and bake them down to low poly or would you rather leave the geometry as it is and will use vertex normal (or just bevels) on the existing geo? -

Anyone confirm that he was unarmed? To be objective, it's the systems put in place by the Bush administration since the 9/11 attacks that have been quietly at work that have led to the operation. Not everything is black and white (no pun intended), gentlemen. Obama was the commander in chief, however and that's a fact. -

Hey Paynter, no need to get your ego into this. This is not a bad thing. Sure, it isn't the intended outcome of putting the greentooth in the games, but this is a public forum, and people can do what they want with what they see here. It's really no big deal, no matter how you look at it. -

One day in highschool, I was walking past a lunchtime softball game with some friends and I decided it would be a good idea to make fun of the loosing team by yelling out: "You suck so bad you smell!" It did not have the intended effect :( -

I think this is a good start, however, everything is very low poly and clean. What type of looking were you going for? What is the intended use for this? Is it for a mobile title or are you thinking this is more for a higher end title? Is it suppose to be heavily stylized or more realistic?
