Okay so I think it was just a bit of a bug. Exported everything into a new scene and am now facing a slight problem that everything in the light cache turning my scene red-ish Tiny render below
Hey Man, I would say about 2,oclock. What tint of colour would you recommened? I have given a slight tinge blue to the overall environment colour but not edited the lights at all. Ta
Here's my first rework of the scene based on everyone's advice: It's still not perfect, but I mildly tweaked many things which hopefully results in a noticeable step up in quality. Those things include: * Reshaping the building to better reflect the reference * Moving the camera to better display some of the valley *…
@ZacD Yeah,I don't like the lighting either. To better understand what I'm aiming for, this is the concept I'm LOOSELY work after: (the rights of the image belongs to it's creator, Ken Li).As you can see the main light in the concept comes from the front of the camera, that's what I'm trying to replicate, also the fog and…
In this context I'd absolutely encourage investigating ways to reduce tiling with small textures as Eric suggests. learning these techniques pays off in all sorts of ways (i recommend mocking it up in photoshop/designer, then figuring out the maths later btw). but That particular example.. not sure I'd recommend it…
Hi! It looks like you may have made your model in zbrush, and the model itself is pretty messy, which is not helping you out here Things like this draw attention away from your textures and give the impression that you didn't want to spend the time to clean up the model. Did you do any research or find any references to…

This week I got a lot of feedback from the fine folks in "Ryan Benno's Game Artist Hangout" Discord server. They suggested adding some spotlights in to emphasize the door…
This is a very good start Jordan, some pointers to improve this. - Firstly, I'd say this is more like a dining area not a kitchen... so correct the name I guess haha - The table has these weird squiggly lines, I feel like they don't really do it much justice so maybe remove them? - The room is really bleached out so drop…
She actually does lift her foot and replant it. She isn't casting a shadow and the ground is flat gray so it's hard to gauge how close her foot really is (watch the quicktime version). More than likely it would be fine in game or in a fully rendered shot. We really have to be careful and not overcompensate for the lack of…
Just as something to play with, but this would understandably change the art direction, try splashing some off-hues in very light opacity on the leather or metal to give it some slight discoloration. It may add more body to certain surfaces of the materials of the costume.
