Looks good! If you want to take it a bit further can check out the way this guy handled his holdeen armor. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?178440-Holdeen-s-Max-Real-Time&p=1024759&viewfull=1#post1024759
might want to narrow the jaw a bit its seems to be throwing off your proportions. I like the way the armor is turning out except for the breastplate so far. No real suggest for that though. Be sure to breakup that blue strap's consistency later on.
Is the robe gonna end up always floating like that? maybe showing off a little bit more armor or change the texture will make him look stronger. To me, the color and design of the robe is a little grandma like. But the bike is very cool.
Cool! I like the line drawing. Only the armor seems a little funny because it reads quite turkey/chicken haha - though maybe that's what you were going for? I'd go for something either a bit more curvy or pointy.
Finished roughing in thehelmet. I am still unsure as to how to approach the high poly for it, so for the time being I am moving on the blocking out the rest of the armor. Planning on taking this one slow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
minimoose: none of these are exactly meant to go in game (except the sword)... I was just trying to show that I could model and texture in the style of Blizzard. True, normal maps aren't used in WoW. The armor set was just to demonstrate style. :P
Excluding some greebles here and there, I'm pretty much done with the high poly. I also noticed how constricting it is where the gun and shield are connected to the shoulder armor. I'm tempted to try and change it to give it more leeway. On to the Low Poly!
nice stuff eric. The colors and strokes on the brush test are beautiful, and you really nailed the forms on the metal shoulder armor face thing. The brown dude in the last one reminds me of the giant rock guy from the never ending story.
Came back to this, was busy with other college work, had to qRemesh as I was getting funky looking things with the mouth, kinda started detailing a little, tried to add some muscles in the legs. I think I should start on the armor now.
Getting closer to finishing this guy but I wanted some input. Should I give him scratches and gouges in his armor or keep it clean? I personally like it clean but thats just me. Any other crits are welcome too!
