the ao map looks a bit weird...the 2 sides shouldn't be that black. but its a start. also you should give the wooden planks different colors and saturation values. Normaly you are using a lot of planks to build a crate and it looks more natural if the are a bit differnt.
This is really cool, it reminds of the jungle scene that came with the udk. But a bit cartoonish. You may want to scale some of the foliage into difference sizes as well as changing the saturation to give it a bit more variation. Have them grow in clumps. So they look more natural and not pasted.
love it but i think your veg needs some work looks a bit unaturally clean both texture and model...needs messing up a touch... it could be an aesthetic decision but i think some contrast between the clean lines of the building and some nice natural foliage would be great
This looks really really bright for being underground. It's really lacking contrast as well as feeling that everything is really saturated. Arac and snowinchina really have some good direction that this could be going in. You need to also distribute the ivy in places that would naturally get the most light. These plants…
I don't think the color scheme is any major problem, might need some more saturation on the blue-ish parts tho. Right now you should try to un-narrow the face abit by the nose area. Actually it is stated that Alleria had green eyes, and that some high elves actually do have it naturally.
Guys, I think you should also bear in mind that this is the Unreal 2.5 engine. Meaning that the lighting tends to be extreme, saturating the texture and producing some off key shadows around the model. Actually, many of the faces are desaturated just to compensate. I agree however the eyes need to be less polygonal and…
That Adam Savage video is super awesome. I find my obsessiveness to only surface when I'm in a comfortable situation or facing some other responsibility. If I have no one and no work, no school involved in my life - that is, no immediate responsibility other than stressing over survival and seeking out those things…
Your texture looks loads better though I still think her skin tone is dark and it looks like she just stepped out of a tanner. I think she would look more natural with lighter skin to match the blonde hair. I played with the levels and hue saturation a bit to show what I mean, sorry not a real paintover.
I disagree with the implication that only "hardcore blizzard fans" would have that reaction. The level of fandom doesnt really matter, just difference in expectations and bias. The term generic or mishmash is merely the means to articulate a first impression. Generic is almost brandless, not unique in characteristics.…
first thing that stands out is the lack of construction detail- how is this thing put together? Where are the natural seems like where two pieces of wood are nailed together ? Were you using a specific reference? Overall color needs some saturation/hue varience. the "new" logo is too black and lacks imperfections- if this…
