Hey, heres a picture of the maps (downsized for upload) Aye - the texture needs some re-work - i only added a few stains for variation along with the white junk. I think i forgot to flip the channel on the door, but its just a square. The crappy curve is on the brick arch; i THINK i can add a cut or 2. Thanks for the input!
The trash bags feel a little stiff to me. Composition needs work, and so does the lighting. I do think you can really make this look good though with some extra love. It also feels a bit empty, and not really lived in. Maybe some graffiti or some stains on the ground, paper and trash strewn about. Give it some life.
Thank you guys for reply. So creating small games in unreal engine 4 would be a better idea right? As it'll show combination of scripting, game design (where enemy spawns or where to go etc.) , level design,AI and game art? and what about creating multiplayer maps for games like Counter strike or insurgency using hammer…
And I'm realizing I didn't directly answer your question: No, not everything has a direct way of being animated in emitter time versus particle time. An example would be animating the initial velocity module, let say you animate so that at 2 seconds in, velocity on Z is turned on. That Z velocity will only occur on…
The model looks fine as it is, but the texture needs work. Try to find some reference of ballistic shields and looks what kind of dirt stains and damage they have. Look for the different materials in it; the handles and frames are probably made of a different material then the shield itself. And change the background color…
Thanks Chandler! I am going to do an alpha edge on the dirt for the rubble pile and vertex paint some dirt and stains in when I get the cement shader setup for texture blends. Just need to learn how to paint vertex alpha in udk. Thanks for the crit and let me know if you see anything else that could look better.
the chipping looks good, but its very sparse, add some more of it. dirty up your nobs. and get some grime in there, but if you do want it to look like someone may still have one of these, make it look like there are stains in there that can't come out. or even add in impressions to the top like someone set their drink on…
Humerous Possibilities (well at least in my head): Atlas: "Jack, would you kindly...f--k me! Oww! Damn-it! I spilled my damn coffee all over my pants. Shit. *furious wiping is heard* damn-it...this is going to stain. *more wiping heard* Just hold on a minute Jack...Jack? Jack are you there? Hello? Aww...damn it..."
