Solid Enviornment Par, Here is what I'd do to get this to the next level. Introduce another light color, the warm/cool combo is always a winner. Your current lighting skews to all warm, and thus isn't very visually appealing or interesting to look at. ThisisVictoria already mentioned and gave solid direction but thought…
@dyceus Thank you! Learning how to make and use trim sheets changed everything for me as an environment artist. The Polygon Academy trim sheet tutorial was really helpful for me, if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it. I textured the entire structure and supporting props with a few variations of one trim. This…
Hey :) I'd suggest removing the 'sand material', I don't think it's relevant and it just feels a bit out of place with the majority of your portfolio being props, especially if you want to be a prop/hard surface artist. I would try get a better thumbnail for the 'stylised prop' sets too if possible. They're lovely pieces…
Ahh I see. The benefits of working with modules comes into play when you export a handful pieces and arrange them in UnrealEd to be an entire city block. Hello all! My name is Melisa and I'm a junior environment artist! I'm looking to update my portfolio with a hero prop that reflects my abilities. To do this I've thought long and hard about what prop will showcase many skills, while still being a unique and not overly done prop. Thus, the Turkish cart of goodies was born!…
