Awesome practices. I think on the last post you could lengthen the arms as they seem a little short, no legs may be the contributing factor there. The fist when closed should reach the nut sack and the elbow should reach the top of the pelvis (at least the reference on my wall shows it). Hope that helped a brother out.
Oh absolutely. Find myself modelling around a problem, or noting a detail I want to capture, in my head even when I'm not sitting, working on a piece. Drives me nuts. Don't have a solution I'm afraid. Wish I knew how to switch off, hopefully something in this thread helps.
losers! why make it when you can buy it at turbo squid. hell go to a site on the net that has free models and put it in your reel. That's how the pros do it, I mean who is going to know. Use auto unwrap all the time, the more pieces in the uv map the less distorted it is.
Love the art in GW, the concept team does a amazing job, and this trailer shows you guys are doing a great job bringing it to life. Now the real question is, can you jump in GW2? One of my biggest complaints about the first one was not being able to jump. I know I'm nuts.
seems like a classic case of computer AIDS. probably videocard just going nuts. Do what Jeremy said if it still happens try updating your drivers. Do you have DX10 enabled in Max? That seems to just breaking everything at all times because DX10 integration in Max is horrible.
Yeah you really seem to have gotten into the flow of it all by seeing those closer up shots of the barrels :) The chair wood and stuff doesn't need major work or anything maybe just a quick revisit. But at the same time it might just be me nit picking. It looks awesome dude keep it up :)
well not to make you get a huge head or anything but "eventhubs" one of the biggest Fighting game resources on the net just tossed a link to your cammy today. This is seriously oozing style man! Keep it up! I wanna see this in unreal with some pretty SF4 style shaders :D http://www.eventhubs.com/
Haha seems your thread has sparked Wind Waker fever all over the net cause even my video is getting a 1000 views again. I even found this thread where people are arguing and calling you inexperienced :) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=488290&page=1
I really like both of the cloth pieces! I get a great sense of weight because of the values. If I had to nit pick on anything, I feel the second cloth could use more contrast on the inside. The upper arc of the curl could be slightly darker. Overall it looks smooth and very realistic. :)
Hey Felix, This looks awesome! However I do think that his wrinkles are lacking weight. He doesn't really look like he should have wrinkles by how tight they are. Give them some gravity and I think it will look better. But I really like it regardless, good luck! -Nat
