I expect to have this short peak at history DONE within a few diligent hours! I did storyboard my ideas in the usual (old-fashioned) way. Yep. Paper method....not sure if Iclone could do that too... But I bet animation master 2 would be great for quick "storyboarding"
Preordered the system. I'm really excited about using this as my replacement DS until a proper 3DS game comes out. Launch titles are pretty bare so far. Pilotwings sounds like good old fun. I would really like a Waverace too though. Ashame that's not announced.
Going back to GTA2 on a modern computer did it for me. You'd think that these days a the old sprite based games would run smooth as silk, but this was a jerking, flickering mess that I couldn't bare to play for more than a couple of minutes. Tis a shame too, I'd like to revisit the classic GTAs.
[ QUOTE ] work that comes out of Japan is to a higher degree of quality than in the West. [/ QUOTE ] I'd like to know the reasons for that. I'm not a fan of anime, but the differences in quality of art between the old and new EQ2 characters is painfully obvious. Except, one of the new version chicks looks WAY too thin.
Alright everyone, welcome to Challenge #69! Since there weren't too many suggestions, I just edited the title post of the old voting thread, and this will be our Challenge thread now. Thanks to @gastrop0d for the concept suggestion that landed in the Wildcard spot! Good luck everyone, and let's finish out this year strong!
The lips are the area you're lacking in the most. The nose could definitely have used more work before gettign to the skin detailing stage too. Here's an old tutorial that may help: https://assets.3dtotal.com/data-import/data/images/tutorials/1912-tid-step-2-jpg.wqqlas.image.9mo.jpg
Even at this point, it's not too late to make seperate subtools. When you import them, you can project your old sculpted mesh onto the new ones. But yes, polygroups are also really nice. There's even a brush option that limits you to only be able to sculpt on one polytool at once.
Yea, see you're trying to figure out why so many people think this is hot about 40 years too late: The trouble is, they knew her way back when. HL2 is the same way, the fact that you can find any kind of enjoyment in such an old game is pretty amazing.
It does, thanks! Dulling down the reflectivity on the metal probably would help cut down on some of that orange as well. (Admittedly, it probably doesn't help that the old NES graphics I used for a reference were mostly orange and gray. I may have been a bit too faithful to the original in that respect.)
if the detailed glyphs on the texture are too hard to read, im sure they can be scrapped or altered greatly, also Old the Kid, would you mind posting wips in your own thread? I'd like to keep this just concepts/requests/finished items for the most part, thanks and good luck on the model.
