Hey everybody! I am a student in my postgrad year. I am currently working on a Caribbean pirate town to hopefully export into the Unreal engine. Here are some pics of my progress. Feedback welcome! Quick concepts: Screen shots of some of the assets:
http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/ Didn't want to post this in Job Listings because it wasn't Industry related but figured it was good info for people looking for money.... It's only temp work but it pays good with flexible hours perfect summer jobs for college students...
I am a student working on my portfolio. I really need feedback on my work and how can I improve it? Please mention if you want to share any suggestion, everyone is welcome.
Ugghhh that sucks, bad... Still, students and people looking to get into the industry should normally spend more time creating content than whining on message boards about not being able to play, heh.
Regarding student programs, you have to have a .edu email, which they only give to high schools and universities, so... yeah. I have been looking at more tutorials, and studying a lot of anatomy and such.
Good to see i'm not the only staffs uni student searching Polycount. Looking good, are you planning on animating the box to sway as the dinosaur is walking? wood just add a nice touch to the final asset.
Getting an internship is a real struggle in my area, to be honest. There are some studios sprinkled over Florida but it seems like internship opportunities are very rare or targeted at grad students. Will likely be moving after graduation.
By the nature of student project, I have very limited time to finish this, which means tomorrow will most likely be my last day to work on the high poly. This is how far I got today:
Thank you so much for making gamedevmap -- it's been invaluable to me over the years. I'm teaching game dev now, and I tell my students to use the site to find places to apply to.
Fantastic work dude. And you student? Your off to a great start. Your Fiery Ezreal effect is the strongest imo. Sorta has a Blizzard/Diablo 3 style too it. Keep it up!
