Hey! So yeah. I did a small sketch on what I kinda want. I'm not sure on the head piece. I'm gonna sculpt this dude and see where it goes. Parts are kinda there, needs more layers of stuff. Some torn fabric here and there. Still figuring this one out. About the headtail, I imagine this dude left behind on aiur after the…
Hello all Polycount friends! Hope all is well. 👋 Re-introduction For those of you who don't know me, I'm Donte'! I used to create a ton of 3D environment / material work but made a switch over to concept art five years ago. I still do dabble in 3D stuff every once in a while though haha. 🎨 Programs 1. Krita (digital…
@Ruz , @sacboi sorry for replying so late, personal life was a mess for a few days. Warm temperature render was a conscious decision but you were right, I did go overboard. I dialed down yellow shades and added just a touch of saturation and contrast. I know it’s personal preference at this point but I do think this…
This is what I use to convert my smoothing groups/hard edge splits to polygroups in zBrush when I import my meshes: http://archive.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?199290-Smooth-Group-Import-updated-for-ZBrush-2018 It'll automatically crease by polygroups on import too. I use Max and many boolean ops for most of my assets…
The way I was able to see both is to take the pic into photoshop and bring the rgb curve down till its obviously blue and black. Keep moving the curve around to adjust your eyes. Reset the curve. The dress should now be blue and black. 30mins after i did this I was able to see it as white and gold again for a while. But…
Oh shi.... massive addict. I best not make any plans for 2012 then. CS 1.6 was one of the main reasons I fail college the first time round and CS source nearly cost me my job at one point, it was a rubbish job though. I used to love getting owned over and over and over again for hours/days on end. But when you get that…
Luxury? No. Its part of a creative work that's done by a group. This isn't building a brick building following blueprints, lifting an putting items into layers and going home at the end of the day. If this is going to end up being a argument about ego, so be it. Yes, everyone deserves credit for what they did. If that…
In response to MoP's earlier question, Blitz do an inhouse art-test, though I'm not sure if that is always the case. When I did it they put me up in a B&B for a couple of nights and I did my art test there over two working days, so they could see what I was like and I could see what the place was like. I actually liked…
I think if you read what i said i did not "berate" Kolby, who is a fantastic artist and an inspiration as i did not say "it's just lumpy", in fact i could not criticize it for what it is in any way. There is absolutely no reason why i can't choose what tools i want to use and then justify why i chose to use them, I have a…
back again, i just checked your website and i did not like how you did your demo reel. Some models wire-frame's were done differently and it was not done consistently throughout the reel. After looking at the original model of that creature it actually looks good in the reel but I'm not feeling the textures or lighting for…
