I cant quite tell from the angle, but it looks as though the barrel is too long. Post a better wireframe from front and side angles if you want some better crits.
[ QUOTE ] I never set any. Truespace doesn't have a tool that counts them [/ QUOTE ] i find that very hard to believe, but ok. may we see a wireframe render?
Great portfolio, I really like the website layout as well. I'm a big fan of the scrolling method. The only thing I'd want to see different is some texture sheets and wireframes.
Looks like theres a shadow under her neclace. In the wireframe side view it looks like its not laying on her chest.I really like it though looks like a fun charater.
Ok, so Im back from Christmas and just starting to go full steam ahead on this. Here is a wireframe update of where I'm at, and a quick marmoset render of how its looking.
Mind if we see the model just in wireframe mode and one just untextured? First guess would be probably needing to go in and soften/harden some of those edges or it might be ngons.
Need to know software, what sort of lights you are using, a wireframe can help, what renderer / render settings you are using, smoothing group settings....just to name a few.
Would b easier to crit if you didn't use global illumination and showed us wireframes. GI is really good at hiding flaws which is why it's often used for promotional stuff.
Thanks for comments! Daz: - BTW, as i used bevel to create those tiny horns, i first tested straight horns ...i was thinking ..."Dare Devil" and then curled them... Wireframe:
I'd still like to know, are you using blender?, since it looks like you're using a version that cannot render out tangentspace normalmaps, if you are. And there are better ways to wireframe of the model.
