Thank you so much for the help JohnnyRaptor, I did as you said and finally got my model in zbrush textured. As for the getting texture, I did a little trick. I have aligned all polys in max by Z axis, so it made it as flat surface and then rendered it with hi res, and got a good quality texture.
yeah kheemo, i got the same issue last night : while this troubled pixel is selected, focus on it in the 3d viewport by pressing Z. It comes from an unwrapped poly in my case. After that, you can do a basic unwrap (like planar), now you can select those stuborn uv vertices and faces ! :)
Hi there. I'm a 3d Artist (high-poly) modeling in Max and e-sculpting in Z Brush. However, I am relatively new to game art (low-poly), and right now trying to develop myself in this area. So I'm very interested in your project. Check my links: http://streitfelder.portfoliobox.net/ http://streitfelder-cg.blogspot.com/
Thanks AimBiz & SimonT This is a sketch I did tonight. SCORPION Z-0: This is a small briefcase sized mech that you can attach a variety of SMGs to. It''s primarily used as a sentry turret, but could help you get the upper hand if you find yourself being swarmed by a ravaging horde of Zombies. =) More iterations to come!
The 'up' direction on the drip comes from the generated position map. When you look at the Position baker in the 'Scene Information Baking' dialog you can see that it's possible to change the axis to something other than Y. For a model laying flat you can change it to Z or X to change the direction of drips and other…
Thanks for all the help guys. I tried reseting the xform, but that didn't work. Then i selected everything and pressed z. And then i saw this wierd line, so i clicked it and it was a cube that was gigantic. I deleted it and now everything works! Stupid mistake of me, but yeah. Thanks for all the help, as said. I really…
1. If baking then you will need to move the mirrored uvs out of 0-1 uv space or the bake will suffer z-fighting and bake incorrectly. 2. For this you will need to explode-bake (in S Painter this step is superceded by match by name) 3. Yes. It is industry standard. If you have the means/opportunity to learn it then you…
The changes are already looking really good! Here's a side view and another angle to help with the cheekfluff transitioning to the back of the head. First thing that I can say is that the muzzle is smaller than you might think. You can push the eyes deeper into their sockets, and the head shape can be shorter in the z…
I'm a gunner so investing in melee would take some time to both learn the weapon and afford the mats to make a whole new armor set. In the water I should have the greatest advantage with no Z worries like melee folks, but he gets me every time. So much easier to fight the guy on land.
