hell, now that you mention ukiyo-e, might as well do a b/w version that looks like sumi-e. you have to admit, that bleed and wash grayscale has some appeal!
The problem has returned. When selecting a garment (literally clicking on it in the 3d viewport) nothing will be selected or an entirely different object. It's driving me crazy. The "W"-Key quick pin also doesn't work.
maybe you have a duplicated vertex somewhere? ('w', 'remove doubles') what file format are you using for exporting? if you can't find the solution, upload the file, someone might have a look at it.
Eric nailed it! There's lots of good reference there, and the first follow along I did that really gave me a solid fountain for hand painted textures. http://wiki.polycount.com/w/images/b/b2/Handpaintingtut.jpg
Yeah, you can. Bottom left of the 2012 UV window, there are boxes for U, V and W. In the corner is a button that toggles whether the values you enter are relative or absolute. Switch to relative, type in 1. :)
Well, there are also other options. Maya has about 20 shortcuts by default, most of them assigned to things you'll rarely need. Blender has Save tied to Ctrl+W, to confuse the newbies.
Texture blending using vertex colour - so long as its RGB dependent and not simply B/W. The more blends the better! Alternatively, you could blend with Vertex Colour & Alpha for extra sexiness.
me likes the shark skin pretty much, great work on the arms and jaws. But he doesnt looks very agressive/not like a soldier - why the massive swimmsuit_armor w/o any zip or something .
I've noticed some odd things w/ max 2008 and the reset xform. It will sometimes flip my normals and mess up my verts. Collapsing the stack usually helps and welding verts. -Tyler
http://www.spike.com/video/bushs-victory-speech/2655088 It is embarrassing to compare. Cody: We say 'William Jefferson Clinton' and 'George W. Bush'... I just asked if we're allowed to say it, that's all.
