I appreciate all your guidance! I'm planning to create a trim sheet for the details. Just to confirm, should I include all the front details like the speaker, buttons, and the volume control button that I've extruded into the low poly model on the trim sheets instead ? My teacher advised me to place all the buttons on the…
With regards to the street, it's incredibly flat. Unnaturally flat. It looks like you just dropped a plane into UE4 and started placing stuff on top of it. I think your texturing also needs a ton of work. Your textures look pretty flat and there is no variation to them (ie the street, or stone wall, etc are quite obviously…
@simonBreumier hey, nice job and congrats for finishing it! My only nit pick is that the tubes in the foreground look a bit floating. Maybe some ao or dirt decals would help to ground them more. Good luck with the next one 🚀
I'm still a student so take my advice with a grain of salt. With all the fires that are roaring in that room, shouldn't it be bright instead of dark in there? It's very hard to see and the lighting makes the fires seem more like arbitrary graphics instead of selling the room as a real place. I think the floating embers are…
Hi guys, today I saw a 2d realistic portrait of Sombra. This is a long shot, but I'd really like to see the piece again. In the off chance you came across it, please let me know :) Its floating somewhere around the web...grr
I am working in this project with DISANSKI, a 3D artist. for now its still on the concept stage,if anyone got an idea for the name that will be great also cant really decide it should have 4 floating bits or 2, what do you think?
Well what am I doing wrong or what can I do to improve this guy? Intended use is game level floor. Planning on doing a texture set for a map I've had floating around for a while. https://i.imgur.com/PELk62D.png
how you're doing it is totally fine. for the planes you're masking (i assume), you can even use floating geometry and just have it pass through the middle of each finger, spare you some polygons
Haha, yeah, I'd rather have my ashes float as an object in space (cookie to whoever gets the reference) than be scattered on earth and end up in someone's dinner. Off topic, but I like your subtitle.
nice work so far! I think you need to do a better job of marrying the metal igloo piece to the snow/ground. Right now it looks a bit like its floating off the surface of the snow.
