This would really be cool.Creating hair strands has always been clusterful. After watching Square Enix CGI movies, its quite clear they used 4/5 layers of hair clumps over each other to make it full. That pic shows a lot of hair and animating it is gonna be work.
I need the ship in the picture below for a CGI sequence that I'm planing. I would have gotten a better picture but that's the only one I could find :shifty: If you choose to make the model you will receive full credit, and (obiously) full rights to the model itself. I can use the following file types: .3ds, .obj, and .low
[ QUOTE ] build 'em your self kits here in Tokyo cost a LOT less. [/ QUOTE ] You can get The Hitec version for 999 as a kit in the states. Doesn't look like the software is as user friendly though. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLWC1&P=
It's unfortunate, but the true scale of the incident and the ignorance of the Japanese government will come to light in the coming months. Their response will simply be "We did not know it was that bad," as they continue to shrug off all responsibility.…
holy cow those shots look fantastic. mind sharing your "basic material/basic view" technique. the topology looks fine to me, tho it depends on whether this is for game design or purely hp. if it is for cgi, then you might want to consider incorporating those floaters into the main body. cheers
check out this awesome caterpiller i photographed: I don't know what this thing is exactly but it looks like a poisenous caterpiller from space. I saw it crawling in my backyard in one of those anti-insect candle buckets. teehee! also check out this cool thread on fark:…
I know this might seem kind of odd but I don't know anyone near where I live who has anything to do with CGI, and I thought that it would be cool if I could hang out with people or chat sometimes about the topic over skype/steam whatever.. if you are interested than msg me privately, have a great day :)
So one of the "downsides" of the computer graphics industry is that it's always striving to get better - so I'm having a really hard time trying to find something that will let me render things in really terrible quality - think 80s/90s ads like this: [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv59aPNU1Ng[/ame] Any suggestions?
$60 USD now are worth about $30 1985 dollars (and that is not even counting the bullshit numbers they use to cook the CPI these days). In 1985 I remember buying games brand new for $48. I think games are a much better deal than they used to be. http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl
You really dont need a union because all the games companies are completely different to the CGI industry. http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/19/damning-evidence-emerges-in-google-apple-no-poach-antitrust-lawsuit/ Surely everyone realises, its not a matter of if a company abuses there power its a matter of when.
