Are there any Re-Surfacing plugins for Maya 2009 that are available for free similar to NEX? I'm looking for a plugin that also has a symmetry function...I'd love to use NEX but $168 is a little steep for me right now.
Wow, it runs like absolute crap on my machine. I have a fairly decent computer that I built last year, and even on 1024 x 768 I get around 15 fps. Looks absolutly amazing tho.
Firebert - You've probably seen these already, but it might help others as well. http://www.staticcurve.com/Artists/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=168 http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62214

I came here to ask the same exact question to find you did as well, hopefully EQ or someone can chime in and let us know if that command doesn't work anymore or if they changed it. I'm on GTX 560's if it helps Thanks!
Well that shoots them way beyond the competition ! It's a nice featuree that will only get better im sure . Though out of the 168 movies in my queue only 7 are available to watch streaming but im sure it'll get much better.
Aye it does. Always am testing in game mode. My pc specs are i7-940 gtx 560 ti 12GB of RAM And a lot of HDD space. Should be powerful enough to handle this.
Good for you, I hope you enjoy it. When you're looking into GPU's, look for a Radeon 6870 or a GTX 560. Anything less will be too little gain for your money. Good luck!
Ive had a integrated GFX card, a Radeon HD 5470, and an HD 6570, and a GTX 560 ti and over the course of those cards I didn't notice any improvement in VFX rendering
