If art assets become more detailed and realistic with next gen, they take longer to make and that means more artists needed. The flip side is they might just outsource everything as it becomes to expensive to pay that many artists locally
Cool stuff, even though I don't play WoW. And I agree Haiasi. For years I've been thinking about how awesome a full scale, "next-gen" third person Pokemon game would be.
Don't know if you were following this tutorial while making this knife ? If notyou might be interessed the see it :) http://cgi.tutsplus.com/tutorials/next-gen-weapon-creation-part-1-the-high-poly-model--cg-782
Start checking ebay and amazon. Most places don't carry the older cases anymore, even for my 3rd gen. It's amazing how fast places dump them, even though there's still a larger market for them.
Do not use the knife since you just copied a tutorial, its immediately recognizable as ben boltens http://cgi.tutsplus.com/tutorials/next-gen-weapon-creation-part-1-the-high-poly-model--cg-782
Looks nice and clean, along with a bit more... tied together. Solid improvement anyway. Looking forward to the whole scene with it along with reflection capture actors/LPV/Some sort of next gen goodness. Keep it up!
Oh, and I would probably remove all the "In-game" text from your images, technically you captured them from viewport so they are not in game. Next gen will do and we'd assume they could be in-game usable.
I'm all for this idea, I would say limit it to indie games like you said and ps2 era and down. Nothing from this current gen. That way chances are the game will be cheap to pick up(if its not rare).
looks awesome, i too was a bit confused by the girls, they're a bit blatently 'tits and ass'. On a real nit pick they seem a bit too scifi for what looks alot like current gen military hardware.
[ QUOTE ] But everything in the world around them looks like it was made for an early xbox launch title not a 2nd gen AAA 360 title [/ QUOTE ] Well put. The characters looked great, but the environments were sorely lacking.
