Hey guys ! Here is an ork sword from Warhammer univers I am working on. I think I am done with the highpoly and I'll start the lowpoly and texture. but comments and feedbacks are always more than welcome to help me to improve !
Updated to final here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/nYrQ6O and a SHQ img if you want to see it super up close. Marketplace item, https://www.artstation.com/marketplace/p/NNknX/crystal-sword-nebularis
Your character is solid! when you say it isn't working, It might be helpful for you to put it into words what isn't feeling right. I would honestly say though, try and wrap up this character and do another. This sort of thing you just need to do a lot of, and you will naturally improve. Like if you were to say aim to do…
Decent start. Given that he's naked, the edgeloop flows on the deltoids could be better. Reference the examples in t he Polycount Wiki. Sword tri count could be reduced. Is there subsurface scattering happening with the skin?
You and me both, Pogo. Love DS2, and i really like where they're going with bloodborne, no sword and board anymore, just fast action. Will it get ported to PC eventually or is this a PS4 exclusive?
Any help ? ALso how woudl be a proper way to stamp those carvings I added with alpha better on the surface of the sword hil so that it doesnt loook good at center and smoothed t the borders?
This is awesome! Nice work. I think the sword feels a little bit light/swimmy at the moment - especially moving into that hold at around 6s - it needs to get there much faster - otherwise this is looking really cool!
small progress, getting the overall shapes of the sword done. now that i look at the image, I'm probably gonna remove that little thingie in the back of the handle, kind of stands out a bit too much.
I went back to the modeling stage and added more armor and changed the shirt design. Im currently working on the sword, but im liking it a lot more now. Any feedback and critiques would be appreciated.
Looks great! When I animate a character with a swords/club/stick I usually have them hold it off to the side and I don't swing the arm very much. Only a few degrees.
