I think the export to UE4 might eat up a bit too much time but something like zBrush could do some cool visual stuff really quickly think fibre mesh and imm brushes etc...
hmm would be nice, that is actually one of the reasons why i dumped max 3ds found the connect a bit clunky to use when you want quickly make support loops compared to how it works in silo and maya/

Yeah, modo's a bit crappy like that. There's ways around it, but I just quickly hacked this together from bits of script I had lying around - it's not very foolproof, sorry. I'll update it tomorrow with something more solid :)
Finished the baking process, and am happy with how quickly I was able to deal with the baking errors. Must be getting better at the process. Pretty pleased with how it has come out. Here is a Marmoset render with some base materials.
It can be useful for initial blocking out and getting shapes quickly when you're just concept modeling, but by and large the boolean in Maya is not useful for actual work. I've never heard of any plugins that do a better job either.

So I tried making some quick adjustments to her face to try and capture Aloy a bit better. I'm a little concerned that she really starts to lose the overwatch face quickly. I will have to balance it somehow...

Ah, so it does, thanks! Just to expand on this because I completely ignored it for so long: hold D to enter pivot mode and click a face to set the object pivot to that face first to get the axis set quickly.
