I got some problems with wacoms as well. Our it support told me that sometimes the windows tablet features can mess with the wacom drivers. To turn them off do this. control panel, programs and features, turn windows features on or off (to the left on the screen) unclick the tablet folder.
And one of my biggest gripes (and i've seen it echoed elsewhere as well) is... if that's the case, then why the fuck not wait til then, instead of flipping off anyone who has a shitty network connection now? Eh, whatever. Ubisoft's off my christmas/birthday/gift shopping list for now.
I did try setting it to my monitor profile, but still seemed to be off. Will try getting screen grabs of my settings, see if anyone can see anything thats off. I seem to remember it saying rgb/8 at the top, would it hell to be higher than 8?
I dunno honestly, we're not too far off!! 3DCoat+Mudbox+Topogun ... at least you've got everything organics covered, one hand on the stylus the other on the keyboard, and good tunes to top it off! [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDM2Vch-WQc&feature=related[/ame]
I show off screenshots of an empty 3ds max document. It's a popular form of modern art that shows off how deep I am as a person. Afterwards I generally eat ice cream out of the tub then cry myself to sleep, it's all a big part of the artistic process.
Looks great! As for your lighting/rendering problem...maybe stop trying to solve both problems with one render? Light the scene to show off the mood you want and to display the scene as a whole. Then show off the pieces, lit for detail, in individual beauty renders...Best of both worlds!
Maybe a picture will get your point across better. If I understand this right, what you can do is adjust the spinners in the soft selection submenu to adjust the fall-off and if you want it to affect only one vertice may I suggest turning soft selection off?
This is coming along nicely.. Right off the bat though, the glass material needs work, it looks way off. The belts on the gears look like they have a metal material as well. Might want to take a pass at that. Overall though, this should turn out to be pretty sweet. Keep it up.
I have read that part of the manual before, and tried to turn off Polypaint. But I can't seem to get it to work. I apply Polypaint to the model, create an InsertMesh Brush, Turn off Polypait for the object where I insert the IMM Mesh/Brush. And there is no Polypaint on the inserted mesh.
