Dumping a bunch of things I did with dDo: Raging Bull, model - Defuse IMI UZI, model - Sephiris (suppressor is mine) Mateba Model 6 Unica, model - EarthQuake M14, model - AnAggressiveNapkin (scope/mount + suppressor by me) Pretty sweet tool. Most of these could use some manual details but I've been focusing on speed since…
Hmm, the "easing" thing is pretty cool, however did you look at my "UV Line Relax" script? It looks like yours doesn't preserve world-space edge length, it just averages all vertices along the line to evenly space them. The way I did mine is that it preserves the percentage of the overall line per edge, so that if you have…
hey guys i finally managed to bake the damn model but now i have a problem i want to add the normal map on my model but it does not add it correctly maybe some option is not correctly put in but it is weird cause the Normal Map did fit the model…
Overall I'd say its pretty solid. I agree with the above points, but I quite like the chest ;) 2 things from me: 1 - maybe add a small paragraph as to what Robot Race is, maybe at the bottom of the page. Is it a uni project, a published game, or personal project? Did you work as part of a team (can be important and…
I remember having no interest whatsoever in seeing the first one and for the longest time I didn't see it. One day I was bored and stumbled on the DVD from an old housemate that had left it behind. If it weren't for Johnny Depp, that film would have been pretty shithouse! It was entertaining, but not great. Still haven't…
Hey guys thanks for the crits. I think I hit most of them. Zero I took a little artistic freedom on the head part. I didnt feel the shape in terms of it reading properly, I did add a cover to it though, a helmet type piece. I also thickened the chains and the the thing as a whole. let me know if anything else doesnt look…
I would add a normal map that adds variation to the angle of each brick. You'll notice in reality that they're never quite planar with each other which causes the reflections to disappear on certain bricks even though they all appear to be facing the same direction. All it takes is for one brick to be angled a few degrees…
First pass on sky finished, it animates and has a cool hand painted feel to it, the clouds are actual geometry. I'll be honest, i just did a bunch of random material crap and hoped for the best, it came out pretty well. Used some fresnels to soften the edges and did some random masking stuff, too much junk to just type it…
Thanks for the info, interesting thing about the color issue. I'd read elsewhere that the VGA input was better for the HD-DVD add-on, but no one has actually said why that might be. With the PS2, I only have the component cable and the old skool a/v cable, so I'm a bit stuck there. I went through a phase in which I bought…
Ok I will just keep this copy for my class then and continue to work on it and redo the way I did the textures (and add more detail into the model). I guess that's what I get for only ever learning to texture characters. I'm going to have to learn how to add details and dirt in specific areas while using a tiled textures…
