Yup, color variation is indeed an issue I intend to work on. I like the vines ideas too I'll probably mess around with that. All your input is very valuable, thanks a lot guys.

Helixos, Try using ActorX to export this guy over if hes gonna be deforming. Our experience has been that actorx will be the brute force method when FBX fails to give you the intended results.

Not sure if this is has already been brought up, but the skin shader's normal smoothing does not seem to be masked by the texture map - it seems to apply normal smoothing to the entire mesh, not just the areas intended to be 'skin'
Neo, i did not intend to demean your work ... But i found the resemblance striking .. It's not that using demonic sculpts on armor pieces is imitative .. but in this particular case i found it just a little too similar ..
"Turn off" mesh smooth? So I should conver this to SubD? I do intend to turn this into a Normal mapped asset sothere would be a low poly version, as well as a High Polygon. Scott
