Hah, I also won my Max license (in 2001). That was really cool of them (Discreet back then) to hand out full commercial ones and not this NFR stuff. Also stopped updating at Max 2011. :) Won Photoshop too but forgot to tell them that I was really used to the english version. Unbrauchbare Sch**sse!
thanks for sharing, Michael! (I'm in need of a hex 'rivet' stamp...the kind you see in CAT and other types of work boots used for shoelace holes. So it'd be nice to create the slight pucker around the leather, then the metal hex-nut and a hole/depression where the shoelace goes. That is, if yer taking requests! :P )
The hell!?!? You think people will talk about it like the prequels? You're bloody nuts! I absolutely LOVED this movie. Yes, I also felt like rey learned to use the force too quickly, but she also seems to be Lukes daughter. So it kind of makes sense. Either way. Great movie!!!
I never had good results with the AO trick since I don't see how it will it net you proper curvature highlights on exposed edges. I always bake curvature in xNormal (using gray background/monochrome mode, which are not default xNormal settings for that map), and I'm pretty satisfied with results that way.
Update: I changed the spacing between the stones with some additional cracks and gave it some more color. I've also added a pirate flag and a fence net. Done all the texturing on the tower, so far it's looking good but not finished yet. Think I'll now focus on adding some more assets to the scene.
That's the thing, I have checked that box and it doesn't work. Tried some other things as well like setting the update time to "Fixedtime" instead of realtime. I think this might solve the issue where the particle goes completely nuts on my laptop (due to slower hardware) and runs just fine on the pc. That's not it either.
Anonymity and a wide audience usually leads to douchebaggery. Why be polite when nobody knows who you are? I certainly was a victim of that behavior in my earlier "net years". Most people grow out of it. If you play Xbox Live, you can see that a lot of people don't, heh. Just depends on the person.
yeah coots, got a bit invlolved in this game:0 some stuff is seperate from the locations and there is no indication as to where to find them ie I have 100 per cent on all the towns, bases etc 188 hours BTW - not great ,but I was n't using extraction very much for the first half of the game
I'm not much of a gun nut, but when making a prop like this, you've got to take into account that it needs to me utilitarian and ergonomic. As it stands, the hand grip seems really uncomfortable to hold with those deep grooves and the protruding emblem. The emblem would be jutting into the palm of your hand. Take a look at…
im no gun nut, but that stock seems kind of boxy. also, i see two, possibly three clips? im guessing there is a weapon underslung below the sniper rifle, but its not very apparent. see how that is almost a gun in itself? i would try fleshing that out a bit more. excellent start though
