Those edges looks beat up! That coffee maker has seen some action But yeah you can do away with it and just lighten the edges. The coffee stains will suffice. Maybe some splatter down the drip? I know sometimes i take my coffee/tea too fast and it just splashes down all over that area.
More stuff. taken a break to actually do some writing and nursing a sprained ankle. Still stupidly rough at this stage, but I'll learn not to make something so big next time haha:poly122: Havent touched the lighting or post processing yet really so I need to leave time for that, which is part of the reason I nuked the…
OH! Excellent reference photo, mystic! :) I really like how it has the rust stains leaking down over the surface. I can see what you mean about it being too glossy. I was trying to make sure it still read as paint, but I might have gone a bit too far with it. Thanks for your comments!
The thing that stands out is the lack of detail in the wall plaster, its a bit uniform and would really benefit from some random cracks, stains etc. Also the blind or curtain thing in the top windows looks a bit strange to me. Having said that for someone whos relatively new to 3D it shows alot of promise so keep pushing…
Looking good. M4 is nice and clean but looks a bit unfinished in terms of texture details. You could use a bit of dirt/stains to help give a little bit of colour to an otherwise super clean gray rifle. AK, and pistol are a bit too noisy looking. Maybe go easy on the image/texture sharpening. Otherwise, its looking good.
I think removing the beam first will be less visible but I'm not sure, worth a try thought :p Or maybe try scaling the width down slowly while the lightning stops spawning ^^ Or since it's for a unique point of view, you could use a mesh instead of a beam, put the pivot point at the end part of the beam, and then scale it…
You may want to look into using the Procedural Foliage Volume. Also you could create a blueprint which spawns foliage within a volume. Both the 'FeaturesTour2014' and 'Blueprints' demo projects contain a blueprint script which they use to place foliage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ispyNxpRyg…
As far as I understand it, yes. You can use a blend map which is unique to the object you make it for that will control both how and and where materials will blend on a model, but I prefer using a blend mask with controls how the transitions looks (such as streaks for water stains) in combination with vertex colors to…
Cnc96: Yes that is totally right! Sorry about that! :S Cellers: Thanks! That would have been cool to have. But I think I must skip that because I want to finish this project anytime soon :) Here is a new enemy for the game. Its called Carrier and spawns smaller minions Also a little walkcycle directly from the viewport
Also for something of this scale...I would suggest possible 3 textures with one, two very nicely tiled textures for the walls. And if say you want to put graffiti or uniques stains...you can alpha them on for the nice finishing touches. Try looking up some references of Pueblos if you have time for it...that's the name for…
