judging by that graph after we get done learning how to... make an FPS? ...well be forced back to misc topics, or over logic bricks/python to restart the whole process over in an apparently never ending loop? ...
A brick wall in an old west saloon? If you wanted to add something out of place that was also higher contrast than the rest of the materials thus noising out all the silhouettes of all props composed in front of it, then success!
Looks great, love the mood. Perhaps the rock looks too dark? Also, not a big difference in albedos between the floor vs the rock and the rock vs the brick...but hey, it could be a matter of taste hu? Keep up!
Nice, though the bricks look very strange to me, guess they should have more sharpened edges. But material wise looks very interesting, even though it's just a diorama i really feel drawn to the room.
Yea, what Ark said. You could make some larger stain decals for the walls as well. You basically go from super clean to exposed brick..you need some in between grunge as well.
Really nice looking textures, I love the way the reddish bricks break up the blue a bit. Out of curiosity, are those renders of your pillars in-engine? The shadowing is friggin' dope, so I have to know.
Parts of it are modular yes. I have not full decided if I am going to take a tiled texture approach on the main structure. Or if I am going to sculpt out every brick. It's going in engine yes UDK
I hate that. When you have university/college work and you want it to be awesome but have no time :( Definitely need to get some of that gold in there. The building close to the camera feels like the texture for that bricks is really big.
Thank you :) . Posting some progress. Level is growing nicely, made a bunch of new textures and props and slowly replacing my placeholders assets. Using substance for bricks and tiles is making life much more easier.
@belgoran This morning I went out and gathered loads of leaves as well as a lot of brick texture photographs. I've almost finished scanning all of the leaves and I was wondering if you'd like them to upload to your site?
