Cool stuff, it's hard to really crit anything yet. I think that you should widen the distance between the pillars though. And also, you should make blockouts for everything before you actually do them. Less scale problems and such.
Here is the final blockout of the scene. Next I will start bringing these assets into Mudbox and start detailing them. Do you see anything else I may be missing other than Foliage like grass or Trees. Those will be added later. :\
Looking at your blockout it's a decent start, I would flare out the roof even more though, to get a more stylised look like in the concept, and also the building walls are too flat whereas the stylised concept art is more curved.
aura is laying out the concept work and I'm currently giving feedback but we'd really appreciate as many opinions as possible. He made some initial thumbnail sketches and then went into blocking out some forms in colour This is the latest blockout image:
Hi ! I worked the first part of my inhibitor, and I finally adapted my concept to a possible animation in game (that turns on itself as the current inhibitors) This is only the blockout for the moment, the diamond is not yet created, but the result comes very quickly! Enjoy !
A more refined blockout and I've slightly extended the room. I'll probably be sticking to these 2 shots for my final renders. Next up I will be working on getting a good lighting pass, as well as working on the wall materials.
Couldn't get used to the latest project, so I decided to cancel it. So started a new one. Still in the blockout phase, but you get the overall idea. Maybe you recognize my inspiration here :D
Hi! :) Great start, the only thing that stands out to me though is that I think the sinks should be a little bigger - they come out a bit more than in your blockout But other than that its looking good :)
Thanks ! Here's another update, played a bit more with the lighting, added some more materials and props and refined the roof a bit after the feedback. Everything is still very rough and in a blockout state. Any feedback is welcome!
A blockout mesh to establish proportions/forms/etc, which can then be refined. It's a way of getting everything in place quickly and means not a lot of rework has to be done if the block out/concept changes before being further refined.
